Anticipation for the 2025 San Diego Elite Draft League season is reaching new heights. As the April 5 draft day approaches, it's time to introduce the four captains who will be leading their squads into battle. Captains have a unique opportunity to shape team dynamics through their draft selections and on-rink influence. This year's captains bring a mix of skill, experience, and leadership, setting the tone for what promises to be an even more competitive season.

Without further ado, let’s meet the captains of the 2025 San Diego Elite Draft League!

Pasha Bocharov

We are thrilled to introduce Escondido native Pasha Bocharov as a captain for the San Diego Elite Draft League this upcoming summer. Pasha has a long track record of bringing high-skill play and leadership throughout his hockey career, including representing Team USA as captain at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Pasha Bocharov

Bocharov was introduced to roller hockey as a 7-year old wheeling with the San Diego Rockets program here in Escondido. His development continued with the L.A. Jr. Kings AAA program before advancing to the Western Hockey League, where he played over 211 games for teams including the Saskatoon Blades, Medicine Hat Tigers, Tri-City Americans, and Calgary Hitmen.

Today, Bocharov skates with the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) and is a frequent competitor in the NARCh Pro division.

Bocharov's captaincy in the San Diego Elite Draft League elevates the league's talent pool and demonstrates his commitment to inspiring the next generation of hockey players in San Diego.

Reed Kinsey

Reed Kinsey is a familiar face to the San Diego Elite Draft League. Kinsey played alongside his brother, Ray Kinsey, on the North County Surfers last season and is a vocal leader who brings plenty of hockey IQ and grit.

Kinsey is the proud owner of RK Goalies, an ice hockey goaltending school training the next generation of rising talent. From professional training to competitive playing, Kinsey showcases a strong passion for the game.

Rory Herrman

Rory Herrman is a SoCal local with considerable experience in international competition.

Rory HerrmanHerrman excelled early as a player. He played for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U AAA team and earned recognition as the CIF/Metro Conference Player of the Year in roller hockey for Poway High School.

He further honed his skills in the USHL with the Fargo Force and Green Bay Gamblers. In 2019, Herrman accepted a full-ride scholarship to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he played 70 games of NCAA Division I hockey across three seasons.

Upon graduating, Herrman transitioned to international play. This included a notable tenure with the Milton Keynes Lightning in the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL), a professional ice hockey league administered by the English Ice Hockey Association. In 2024, Herrman won the NIHL Cup Championship with the Lightning.

Herrman also has professional roller experience, including playing with teams such as FMT and MĀVIN in NARCh Pro.

Herrman's return to San Diego marks a full-circle moment, bringing his extensive experience and leadership back to where his hockey journey began.

Wes Langeloh

Wes Langeloh rose as a star during the inaugural season of the San Diego Elite Draft League. He earned himself league MVP with his pivotal role in the Temecula Vineyard Vipers' victory in the first-ever McClurg Champions Cup. And now he is returning as captain.
